Everything about this shoot screams “Give me springtime!” With the juicy citrus color theme and the tabletop decor that literally looks like the earth just gave birth to mouth-watering fruits, I left with a huge smile on my face and a craving for the tropics.
Set in the divine and historic Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, this photoshoot had the perfect mix of modern elegance and decadent old Hollywood. The incredible Jason Lloyd styled the centerpiece displays that mixed fresh vibrant fruits with florals that matched the succulent citrus motif. He also created a playful floral curtain that was portable so it made for a fun mobile backdrop when trying to get the perfect shot.
Serving as both a tabletop accent and essential placards was the super fun stationary by Bourne Paper Co. Their modern designs really tied the entire ensemble together. I always think invitations set the tone for a wedding so setting your theme early is important.
The cake for me stole the show because I’m obsessed with the baking challenges on the Food Network and this work of art was definitely worthy of winning a challenge! Nicole Bakes Cakes created a cake that not only perfectly tied in the color scheme of the decor, but had textures reminiscent of famous paintings from some of my favorite artists. I know a cake is amazing when I can’t bring myself to even cut into it to eat it (because I LOVE cake)!
The gorgeous models wore gowns from Coco Melody. I love the stunning all-lace gown worn by the bride because it perfectly complimented the groom’s elegant tan suit from Stitch and Tie. Sometimes it’s nice to see gentlemen wear something other than black or navy at a wedding.
