Descanso Garden Wedding
When I was driving to Gabrielle and Armel’s wedding venue it was raining and I knew they picked a venue that is known for its outdoor gardens. I had my camera wrapped in plastic and an umbrella taped onto my camera stand. I was ready for the rain. What makes Gabrielle and Armel so special was that they were not in the least bummed by the weather. All they cared about was saying I do and celebrating with their friends and family. This positive energy worked out for them because when they did their first look, it stopped raining and when we did bridal party photos, it stopped raining. When they were saying their vows and lighting their unity candles it was started raining. The tent and the rain made their ceremony have a really intimate feeling.
Gabrielle and Armel meet through mutual friendship in college. Gabrielle was taking an accounting class with a few of his roommates and met Armel at a house party. From then on they became good friends and the rest was history.
They picked Descanso Gardens because they knew the minute they walked the grounds for their appointment it was their wedding venue. Gabrielle’s favorite part of their wedding was their first look. Which was my favorite part too. I loved how their family and bridal party watched from the side and his reaction to how beautiful Gabrielle looked. Armel’s favorite part was the dancing. And boy did their guests know how to dance. They were going non-stop and glow sticks were super awesome as they guests danced the night away.
