From the Bride and Groom…
How we met:
Anthony and Danielle met at a friend’s birthday party in March 2011. Anthony overheard Danielle talking about her father who had just passed away and realized that his parents had known her father since before they were born. They continued to talk for hours and hours that night.
For the next month and a half, Anthony pursued Danielle – asking her on dates, to go for coffee, frozen yogurt, you name it! Danielle was hesitant because Anthony wasn’t really her “type”, but there was always something about the way they met. Like her dad was bringing them together. Finally on the Saturday before Easter, after Easter Vigil Mass, Danielle went to meet friends at a bar. Anthony was there and they spent the whole night talking, just like the first night they had met. Danielle told Anthony that she was ready to give it shot and start dating. That night they shut down the bar and shared their first kiss. From that moment on, they were always together.
Exactly 4 years from the date that they started dating, Anthony proposed to Danielle at Easter Vigil. Anthony spent a year and a half in RCIA and at Easter Vigil he received his first communion and confirmation. After the mass had ended, in front of their friends, family and parish – Anthony got down on one knee and said “Four years ago after Easter Vigil, we decided to start dating. Now, four years later, after the Easter Vigil, I want to know if you will be my wife?” Danielle responded “I would love to be your wife!” They were then showered with love and congratulations from everyone in attendance. They decided to celebrate by going to a karaoke bar and popping a bottle of Champs, of course!
