Holman Ranch Boho Chic Inspired Wedding

Though I love shooting real weddings and capturing emotional moments between couples starting their exciting journeys together, sometimes it’s fun to photograph a styled shoot to get the creative juices flowing. I had the opportunity to do Reach the Workshop, lead by Carlie Statsky and Engaged and Inspired, which used amazing local vendors that created beautiful shoots. The picturesque Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley served as the backdrop for 3 very different styled shoots: Classic Luxury, Colorful Latin, and Boho Chic. On this post I’ll be sharing the Boho inspired wedding shoot.

This design was done by the incredible Beijos Events. I loved how soft and muted all the tones were. They used more earthy metals which is a nice touch. This style is very on-trend and has been for the past several years. You can also create a very sustainable wedding with this style, using wildflowers, re-useable decor, succulents that you can re-plant, etc. They used crystals to mark each table setting which I thought was really clever. I loved the wooden arch they set up because it was pretty yet simple. It didn’t take away from the beauty of the rolling hills behind it.

The warm tones for all the decorations and let the vibrant citrus florals be the standout piece. I absolutely loved the bride’s beaded midriff top and skirt combo. She looked classy while still being more casual. This is a perfect example of how to dress if you don’t want the traditional wedding dress and tux.
