I am enamored with weddings because they are one of the happiest days in a person’s life. I love everything from seeing families coming together to the small details that go into making each wedding unique. But nothing beats being able to capture portraits of a newly married couple sharing their first blissful moments.
Muckenthaler Mansion Wedding
Most of us don’t remember who won the Super Bowl 5 years ago off the top of our heads but Amie and Cody sure do because that was the day they met and started their romantic journey together. The answer is: they both won! It took a few months for Cody to convince Amie to go out on that first date but now she’s eternally grateful she did!
They envisioned a wedding that was outdoors, rustic, simple, and elegant so when they stumbled upon the Muckenthaler Mansion in Fullerton California they knew they found their spot. They were able to make the setup on the grounds all their own so that’s ultimately what sealed the deal for them. Not only were the grounds beautiful but the staff was extremely friendly which made the entire experience enjoyable.
Amie tried on a handful of dresses before selecting her gorgeous ensemble. She wanted simple elegance and the other dresses had too much bling and bedazzling. When she slipped this classic number on she felt simply perfect in it. The dress was partnered flawlessly with a long, floor-length veil that would make anyone stop dead in their tracks. She was definitely a vision in white walking down the aisle.
Her bridesmaids dresses set the tone for the other wedding decor. She loved the mix of dark blues, light blues, and blue greens all working off each other. Set against the breathtaking sprawling white floral displays by The Bloom of Time and the Earth tones of the Muckenthaler Mansion’s interior, the dress and detail colors truly stood out. I have to say that the food platters by Colette’s Catering almost looked like floral arrangements themselves with their color palette. It really finished the look of the ceremony beautifully.
Cody and Amie agree that the best part of the ceremony however was just standing at the altar looking at their best friend, knowing they would get to spend forever together. That’s something no amount of planning can prepare you for. They do say if they could have had more of something it would have been more dancing to the tunes of Dj Jack Farmer. Judging on the contagious smiles on their faces in all of their photos though, there was no lack of fun! We raise a glass to many more years of smiles and dancing for this happy couple.
