I am enamored with weddings because they are one of the happiest days in a person’s life. I love everything from seeing families coming together to the small details that go into making each wedding unique. But nothing beats being able to capture portraits of a newly married couple sharing their first blissful moments.
Twin Oaks House and Gardens Wedding
Kevin and Elizabeth met in downtown Los Angeles at Herbalife when they headed to the gym for their workouts at the same time. Little did they know, they’d be getting married just a few years later! To express their special bond, they both chose to write their own vows, and saying them to one another ended up being their favorite part of the wedding (although they were expecting that to be the reception!). Afterwards, the bride admitted that she thought the dancing would be the highlight because they both adore dancing, but she said the entire day ended up being even better than she could have ever imagined.
She said that, while sharing their vows is a moment they’ll always remember, she also enjoyed the festivities to no end, appreciating all the friends and relatives who attended.
Throughout the ceremony, she looked absolutely stunning. Elizabeth went to ten different stores shopping for her wedding dress, but the one she ended up choosing was at the very first store she visited. She shopped around before heading back there to find the dress that she would ultimately choose from the store’s rack of new arrivals.
For the wedding, the couple chose a vintage blush touched up with a flair of modern. They went with navy for the groomsmen and dusty blush pink for the bridesmaids—a color pallet that turned out to be super complimentary. The venue was decorated with white chairs, glass vases, white chargers, and gold beading to complete the look. They chose the very first venue they walked into because it was special and romantic. They also liked that it was private and that they’d be the only event there that day.
Another thing the couple really liked about the venue they chose is that guests didn’t have to drive from the ceremony to the reception as they held both just a few feet away from each other. They did an outdoor ceremony while the reception was under a white tent, finished off with chandeliers. Inside, the couple got to prepare themselves for their special day in the bridal suite and extra special grooms suite.
While they went for a vintage romantic feel, the modern spin led to a great surprise for all of their guests. For instance, during the reception, they brought out their LED dancer robot to get everyone moving, and it also featured a tasty doughnut wall. Overall, everyone had a beautiful time celebrating.
