I am enamored with weddings because they are one of the happiest days in a person’s life. I love everything from seeing families coming together to the small details that go into making each wedding unique. But nothing beats being able to capture portraits of a newly married couple sharing their first blissful moments.
Wayfarers Chapel Wedding
Osiel met his wonderful bride-to-be, Bella, in seventh grade because they had history class together. As their friendship flourished through junior and high school, Osiel soon admitted his love for Bella and later proposed. Shortly thereafter, Osiel was diagnosed with ALS. While Bella said it has definitely changed their perspective and outlook on things, they have an unwavering commitment to one another and an undying love. She says the experience has brought them even closer together since she learned of his diagnosis.
The majority of this gorgeous wedding was actually planned by Bella’s mother while Bella was away at college and staying in Oregon. She said it was a slight challenge doing the planning long distance, but her amazing mother put it all together for them and it turned out beautifully. Of course, one of the most important aspects of their wedding was Bella’s perfect gown. She tried on six dresses to find the right one, and although she said she’s a simple gal and didn’t want to make too much of a fuss about her dress, she absolutely loved the one she picked out.
Since they have been friends since seventh grade and dating since eighth, they have truly grown together as a couple. Their favorite part of the wedding was seeing all of their friends and relatives get together to celebrate the joy and love they were feeling, and the entire wedding was so vibrant and up-beat. They chose an elegant yet rustic theme that went perfectly with the church they chose for the ceremony.
Osiel wanted a church wedding while Bella wanted to get married outside. They chose Wayfarers Chapel as it had everything they wanted and then some. It gave Bella the outdoor setting but allowed them to get married, as per their families’ tradition, inside a church, which featured countless glass windows all around that let in natural light and really brought the day to life.
Bella and her mother together decided on the wedding’s excellent color scheme, which featured burgundy, navy, and pink. While Bella was initially apprehensive about pink since she doesn’t typically like it, it all went together so perfectly. They had a fall wedding, so their color pallet was mindful and complimentary to the changing season.
Her bouquet was beautiful and featured green foliage, light pink roses, and deep reds. Osiel wore a navy blue suit and a light pink tie while the groomsmen wore the same, complimented by light pink bow ties. The bridesmaids dressed is flowing, light pink gowns and held bouquets just as pretty as Bella’s. All together, the day was certainly one to remember. Everyone had an extremely fun time, and there was nothing but love and happiness in the air.
