The Fig House Wedding

Catholic weddings are always a sight to behold, and as a photographer, capturing the grandeur and sanctity of these ceremonies is a privilege. For Leslie and Herbie, their wedding was not just a celebration of their love but a homage to their faith and upbringing. They chose to exchange their vows in the same Catholic church where they first met in first grade and where Leslie’s parents were married 33 years ago. The church held a special place in their hearts and their wedding day was a testament to that. After the ceremony, they continued their celebrations at the Fig House in Los Angeles, making it a day that was full of love, tradition, and magic.

Leslie looked gorgeous in her strapless laced dress and long flowing veil. She says it took her 20 tries to find the perfect one. I think most women can relate! Her favorite part of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing Herbie waiting at the end. Herbie’s favorite part was their private first dance.














The couple decided to go for a classic yet fun vibe for their nuptials. They wanted it to feel like a backyard LA wedding, despite being in the church. Leslie and Herbie both love blue so they went with blue and pink colors for their bridal party. They also knew it would match well with the decor of The Fig House, where they had their reception.

They both agree that finally hanging out with all their guests and taking pictures was a highlight. They danced the night away to the sounds of DJisLord and watched live art by Chasing Linen.
