PHOTOGRAPHY
I’m passionate about photographing weddings because they bring together the people who matter most. My goal is to capture the beauty, emotion, and unforgettable energy of the day while creating timeless images you’ll treasure for decades.
If you’re dreaming of a romantic Southern California wedding surrounded by mountains, gardens, and old-world California charm, Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Simi Valley is hard to beat.
Nestled in the Santa Susana Mountains just north of Los Angeles, Hummingbird Nest Ranch is a sprawling private estate with Spanish-inspired architecture, olive groves, fountains, lawns, vineyards, and multiple event spaces.
And from a photographer’s perspective? There is so much to photograph.

One of my favorite things about photographing a Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding is that the property doesn’t feel like a typical wedding venue. It feels like you’ve stepped into your own private Mediterranean-inspired estate.
The combination of mountain views, colorful gardens, Spanish architecture, olive trees, stone, and terracotta gives couples endless options for portraits and wedding-day photos.
It’s especially beautiful for couples who want their wedding photos to feel romantic, editorial, colorful, and timeless without everything looking overly staged.

For this Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding, I photographed the day using both 35mm film and digital photography.
The film added that soft, nostalgic quality I love—especially against the bright California sunshine, vibrant pink bougainvillea, greenery, and warm terracotta tile. Digital photography allowed me to capture all the movement and little moments throughout the day while keeping the colors true to life.
The result is a gallery that feels both nostalgic and modern.
And honestly, this venue was made for film photography.
The colorful gardens and natural light create beautiful depth, while the Spanish-style architecture and mountain landscape give portraits a sense of place.

Hummingbird Nest Ranch offers several distinct spaces for weddings, including the Villa, The Carriage House, Grand Prix, Vineyard, Garden Pavilion, and other outdoor areas.
The property also offers on-site accommodations, which can make getting ready and transitioning through the wedding day much easier.
For couples planning a larger Southern California wedding, the property also gives you the ability to create different experiences throughout the day—from the ceremony and cocktail hour to dinner and dancing—without ever leaving the estate.

If you’re searching for a Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding photographer, I love photographing this venue because it gives me the freedom to capture a wedding in a way that feels natural rather than overly posed.
My approach combines 35mm film and digital photography to create photographs that feel effortless, colorful, romantic, and genuinely you.
The goal isn’t to make your wedding look like a styled shoot.
It’s to document how it actually felt to be there—the way the light looked, the flowers, the happy chaos, the way you held each other, and all the little moments you’ll want to remember years from now.
Planning a Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding in Simi Valley? I’d love to photograph it.
